For stylists applying Stick Tip Hair Extensions, precision is key to ensuring a comfortable, long-lasting, and seamless result for your client:
- The Hair Ratio:Â Match the natural hair section to the weight of the I-Tip strand (e.g., 1g strand to an equivalent section of client's hair). This prevents the extension from being too heavy for the natural strand.
- Ring Positioning:Â Place the micro ring or tube approximately 1cm from the scalp. This allows the extension to move naturally and prevents excess tension.
- Secure Clamping:Â Use a high-quality clamping tool to firmly flatten the ring or tube. Ensure the ring/tube is securely moulded without pinching the scalp. A tight clamp prevents slippage and preserves the bond's integrity.
- No Overfilling:Â Never try to force too much natural hair or more than one I-Tip into a single ring/tube. This will lead to discomfort, damage, and bond failure.
- The Test Tug:Â After clamping, give the extension a gentle tug to confirm the security of the attachment.
